A small impression of the Black Forest woods in autumn.

A walk through the Germanswald Forest near Villingen-Schwenningen is a special experience in autumn. Although there are no brightly colored leaves to be seen here, the evergreen forest unfolds its very own magic. Between the tall firs and spruces, countless shades of green spread out – from the deep, dark moss on the forest floor to the lighter needles in the treetops.

The air is clear and still, the light falls softly through the dense canopy of leaves and needles, and at times, delicate veils of mist drift between the trunks. The gentle rustling of needles and the scent of resin accompany every step.

Here, one quickly loses track of time – and instead finds peace, clarity, and a deep sense of connection with nature. Those who visit the Germanswald in autumn feel that beauty doesn’t always have to be loud or colorful. It reveals itself in the countless shades of green, in the silence, in the gentle breeze, and in the calm presence of the forest itself. A place to breathe, let go, and simply enjoy.
